Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Michael Schwahn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Scott Sanchez!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Albert Achterberg and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schwahn tries for a takedown but Sanchez sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Schwahn shoots in and drives through. Sanchez sprawls well.

Schwahn closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Sanchez did well to prevent Schwahn getting side control.

Schwahn is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Sanchez has managed to free his arm - good work.
Schwahn wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sanchez keeps working.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Schwahn is working for a kimura but Sanchez is defending it quite comfortably.
Sanchez pushes Schwahn off looking to stand but Schwahn dives back in and keeps control.
Schwahn thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Sanchez's head.

Sanchez looks like he's trying to stand up.
Schwahn stalling away here and it's allowed Sanchez to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Schwahn scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Schwahn postures up in Sanchez's guard and throws a big left but Sanchez blocks it.
Sanchez wants to get back to his feet but Schwahn is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Schwahn throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Sanchez keeping moving, preventing Schwahn from controlling successfully.
Schwahn is in close to Sanchez's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Sanchez wants to get back to his feet but Schwahn is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Schwahn missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Schwahn wants to control from the top but Sanchez keeps moving.
Schwahn postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Michael Schwahn dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Sanchez tries a head kick but it misses.

Schwahn ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Sanchez moves away.
The crowd cheers as Sanchez lands an impressive looking overhand right. Schwahn doesn't seem phased though.

Oooooh!!! Sanchez has knocked Schwahn down with a huge combo! Sanchez steps away and waves a wobbly Schwahn back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!


Schwahn is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Schwahn leaves his chin hanging out and Sanchez seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Schwahn crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Scott Sanchez!
