Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Raynold Ramones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yujiro Takahashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Raynold Ramones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Yujiro Takahashi!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Leandro Rodrigues and Thiago Cunha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Takahashi. No joy for Ramones on that attempt.
Ramones looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Ramones could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Ramones has closed the distance and engaged Takahashi in a clinch.
Ramones jumps guard but Takahashi stands there with Ramones around his waist. Ramones gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Raynold Ramones. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Takahashi lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.


It looks like Raynold Ramones has been cut.
Ramones is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Takahashi pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Takahashi tightens his grip and picks Ramones up, before dumping him to the ground. Ramones manages to land in guard.
Takahashi is looking to work some ground and pound but Ramones has wrist control.
Ramones looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Ramones looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Ramones has momentary wrist control but Takahashi slips an elbow through the middle.
Takahashi throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Ramones throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Takahashi stopping the sweep attempt from Ramones.
Takahashi in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Takahashi throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Ramones works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Takahashi avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Ramones throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Ramones is breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Takahashi missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Ramones has an active guard here but Takahashi has managed to pass into half guard.

Takahashi seems to be working for a kimura but Ramones defends the submission attempt.
Takahashi winds up and cracks Ramones with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Takahashi throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Takahashi looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Ramones with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Takahashi prevents Ramones from improving his position.

Ramones looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Takahashi trying to control the action but Ramones is working from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Ramones throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Takahashi wants to pass to mount but Ramones is defending the position.
Takahashi missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Takahashi rushes Ramones and presses him up against the cage.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

Takahashi breaks from the clinch.
Ramones needs to keep his hands up - Takahashi had a free shot at his head there.
Ramones shoots in for a takedown but Takahashi shows good takedown defense.

Takahashi closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Ramones to the mat! Ramones manages to get full guard.
Ramones wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Ramones wants to stand and escape but Takahashi is having none of it.
Takahashi slips nicely into half guard.
Takahashi looks to score some points with some ground and pound.


Ramones is rocked!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Takahashi drops an elbow to the side of Ramones's head.
Oh Ramones is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Takahashi scores with a big shot! Ramones's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Ramones! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Yujiro Takahashi!
