Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Trevor mcneil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Georgie Pierson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Ian Loll and Robert Douchet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pierson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Pierson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Pierson working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
mcneil wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.

Pierson is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. mcneil knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften mcneil for a finish.
mcneil can't escape the position.
Pierson is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Pierson gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Pierson gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Pierson apologises and we restart here on the feet.

mcneil tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Pierson has hold of mcneil's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and mcneil manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
mcneil wants to hold on but Pierson pushes him away.

Pierson working for a submission but mcneil is keeping him at bay.
Pierson looks gassed!

mcneil can't escape the position.
mcneil is working hard here to advance position.

Pierson jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… mcneil is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by mcneil and Pierson has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

mcneil manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
mcneil prevents Pierson from improving his position.
Pierson is looking to control mcneil's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Pierson avoid being mounted?
mcneil passes to side control.
Pierson takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Pierson can do anything to dispel that myth.

mcneil tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Pierson gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
mcneil lands strikes from half guard.

Pierson is trying to defend against the ground and pound but mcneil scores with a couple of nice shots.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. mcneil lands a nice short elbow.
Pierson has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. mcneil is working away from the top position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
mcneil is pressing down on Pierson's thigh, looking to free his foot. Pierson is holding on for now.

mcneil seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Pierson is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
