The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Roosa Järviläinen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Van Damme looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Jokinen fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Van Damme lands a high kick!
It looks like Ode Jokinen has been cut.
Jokinen drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Jokinen prevents Van Damme from getting back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Van Damme escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jokinen gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Jokinen loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Van Damme is looking to sinch up a triangle. Jokinen throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Van Damme's body to avoid the submission. Van Damme has instead reached around Jokinen's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Van Damme arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Jean Claude Van Damme!
