Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Philip Negan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Emilio Borges (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Emilio Borges will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Philip Negan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Emilio Borges!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Taro Takaoka and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Borges misses with the combination.
Negan clinches up with Borges and pushes him back against the cage.
Borges throws a punch but it's blocked by Negan.
Borges wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Negan has him pressed against the cage.
Negan is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Borges can't fight it off and eventually Negan manages to take the fight to the floor. Borges looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Negan in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Borges really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Negan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Negan passes easily into side control. Nice work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Borges avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Negan.
Borges tries to buck Negan off but Negan is having none of it.

Negan is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Borges will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Negan wants to control but Borges is keeping him busy.

Negan misses with the ground and pound.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Negan scores with punches from side control.

Borges avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Negan.
Negan throws an elbow but Borges slips to the side and avoids it well.
Negan is working Borges over with some ground and pound from side control.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Borges is trying to improve his position.

Negan has hold of Borges's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Borges tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Negan cranks the arm and Borges screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Borges, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Philip Negan!
Philip Negan was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
