The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dickens tries to score with a low kick but Bennett moves his leg out of the way.
Dickens shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bennett pinned against the cage. Bennett gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Dickens fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bennett avoids it really well and circles away.

Dickens fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Bennett looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Dickens closes the distance and clinches up with Bennett, looking for a takedown. Dickens pushes Bennett against the cage but Bennett circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Bennett moves away from the strike by Dickens.
Bennett tries to close the distance and clinch but Dickens swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Dickens throws a leg kick but Bennett sees it coming and moves out of range.

and Dickens takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
That kick from Dickens tenderised Bennett's leg. Bennett is trying to keep his angry face on.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Dickens throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bennett's waist but Bennett gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dickens off to one side.

Dickens dives in and grabs Bennett's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bennett pushes down on Dickens's head and hops out.
Dickens changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bennett tries to avoid it but Dickens manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bennett to the ground. Bennett escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Bennett lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Dickens pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Dickens throws a lazy head kick
and Bennett counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Dickens is breathing heavily.
Dickens tries to land a front kick but Bennett steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Bennett dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Bennett scores with a sloppy right hand. Dickens should have avoided that one.

It looks like Buff Dickens has been cut.

Bennett moves into the clinch successfully.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Dickens's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Bennett tries to work over Dickens's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Dickens swings wildly with an uppercut but Bennett uses good head movement to avoid it.

Bennett is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Bennett gets through Dickens's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Bennett unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Dickens! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Bennett is unloading with more strikes now! Dickens drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
