PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Zack Pineiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nikolai Dehaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dehaz has chosen Deftones - My Own Summer (Shove It) as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Elvis Blanc and Yves DeLean.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Dehaz looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Pineiro fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Dehaz looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Pineiro lands a head kick!
Dehaz throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Dehaz gets caught flat footed, as Pineiro shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Pineiro tries to free his leg and advance position but Dehaz is retaining full guard.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Zack Pineiro.
Well Pineiro has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
