Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Silva Bones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Silva Bones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ryan Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Daniel Cesar and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bones shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Gracie counters by clinching up.

Gracie breaks the clinch.

Gracie decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Gracie stalling away here and it's allowed Bones to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Bones tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Bones controls Gracie momentarily but Gracie frees himself.

Gracie decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Gracie closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Bones's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Bones pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Gracie back to the cage. Bones follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Bones tries to close the distance and clinch but Gracie swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Bones shoots in and drives through. Gracie sprawls well.

Gracie fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Bones, pushing him back against the cage.

Bones wants to clinch up but Gracie keeps it at a distance.

Gracie clinches up with Bones and pushes him back against the cage.
Bones looking for a takedown.

Bones is trying to pull guard but Gracie turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Gracie lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bones tries to get to full guard but Gracie has control of the leg.
Gracie stops Bones from getting back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ryan Gracie dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Gracie gets a double leg takedown into Bones's guard.
Gracie wants to control from the top but Bones keeps moving.

Bones tries to score a body lock takedown but Gracie shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Bones is looking to control Gracie's arms but Gracie gets an underhook and turns him. Now Bones has his back to the cage.

Gracie has Bones pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Gracie pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Bones tumbling to the mat - Gracie dives into Bones's guard.

Gracie decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Bones, up you get!

Gracie bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Gracie is breathing heavily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Bones is trying to get back to half guard.

Gracie sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Bones is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Gracie tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Gracie has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Gracie wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bones keeps working.

Bones is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Gracie's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Gracie's back!
Bones tries to get the hooks in deep but Gracie pushed the leg off.

Bones sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Gracie taps out!
