Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between John Pope (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Douglas Steinhof (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steinhof has chosen Hudson Mohawke — B Ur Fantasy as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Douglas Steinhof!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Sam Margolis and Phil Schofield.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pope misses with a few strikes there.
Steinhof shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Steinhof shoots in and drives through. Pope sprawls well.
Pope tries to close the distance and clinch up but Steinhof swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Steinhof shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Pope moves to clinch but Steinhof breaks away

and Steinhof counters with a nice double leg into guard.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Steinhof makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Steinhof cracks Pope with a solid left hand.
Steinhof stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pope swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Pope is looking for a triangle but Steinhof pushes his legs off easily.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Steinhof lands a nice short elbow.
Pope wants to control but Steinhof passes into side.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Pope is looking to regain half guard here but Steinhof keeps moving and retains side control.

Steinhof works to advance to full mount. Pope defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Pope is desperately trying to improve his position but Steinhof has a good base and remains in mount.
BOOM! Steinhof connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Steinhof postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Pope looks a forlorn figure.

Oh Pope is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Steinhof lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Pope takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Steinhof's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.

In his post fight interview, Douglas Steinhof started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
