Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Renzo Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hans Landa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gracie drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Landa is trying to control the position but Gracie postures up.
Gracie wants to pass the guard but Landa is keeping the position.
Landa lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Gracie!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Landa goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Gracie is on top in guard.
Gracie forces his way into half guard.
Landa wants to get back to full guard.

Gracie seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Gracie missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Gracie seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Landa does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Landa is looking to control Gracie's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Landa avoid being mounted?

Gracie is working for a submission of some sort.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Landa is trying to maintain the position but Gracie is very close to passing his half guard.
Gracie trying to mount his opponent but Landa defends it.

Landa is looking for a sweep. Gracie is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Landa makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Landa.

Landa working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gracie doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Gracie manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

and Gracie counters with a nice double leg into side control. Landa won't be happy with that.

Landa has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Gracie is working away from the top position though.

Landa is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Gracie is aware though and is defending well.

Landa isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Gracie stacks Landa on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Gracie!

You can see the frustration on Landa's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Gracie is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Landa is just riding it out for now. Gracie eventually gives up the hold.
The fighters are battling for position here. Landa manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Landa has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Gracie. Oh but Landa has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Gracie goes limp - he's gone! Landa jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
