Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Terrence Mills (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kien Ngo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mills's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Live and Let Die. Terrence Mills could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Kien Ngo's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Terrence Mills!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kien Ngo!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Winston Howard and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mills gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Ngo to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Mills wants to sweep but no luck.
Ngo tries to free his leg and advance position but Mills is retaining full guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ngo accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Ngo working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Ngo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mills swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Mills looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Ngo passes into side control.
Ngo wants to control but Mills is keeping him busy.
Ngo has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Ngo working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Ngo throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
Mills is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Ngo trying to control the action but Mills is working from the bottom.

Ngo prevents Mills from escaping the position.
Sloppy strikes there by Ngo.
Mills is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Ngo wants to control but Mills is keeping him busy.
Mills is trying to improve his position.
The ground and pound from Ngo seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Ngo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mills keeps working.

Ngo thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Ngo working the ground and pound but Mills is defending the strikes.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Ngo wants to control but Mills is keeping him busy.

Ngo decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Ngo instigates a clinch.
Ngo lands a left hand that snaps the head of Mills backwards.
Mills has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Ngo escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Ngo forces Mills back against the cage and clinches.

Ngo pulls guard effortlessly.
Ngo lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Mills!
Ngo can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Mills is looking to escape.
Mills is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Ngo thowing shots but they're missing.

Ngo trying to control but Mills is having none of it.
Mills is desperately trying to improve his position but Ngo has a good base and remains in mount.
Mills gets back to half guard.

Ngo stands up and beckons Mills to join him on the feet.

Ngo drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Mills tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Ngo wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Ngo throws an elbow but Mills slips to the side and avoids it well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kien Ngo dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Ngo clinches.

Ngo jumps guard and drags Mills to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Ngo looking to control.
Mills is fighting to break Ngo's control of his arms but Ngo is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Ngo is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Kien Ngo wasn't active enough on the ground.

Ngo clinches up against the cage.

Ngo stalling.

Ngo ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Ngo no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ngo is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Ngo looking to control.
Mills slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Ngo.
Mills is thwarting Ngo's attempts to control the position.

Ngo wants to improve his position but Mills is controlling well.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Kien Ngo.

Ngo shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Mills is trying to defend but Ngo finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Ngo stands up and beckons Mills to join him on the feet.

Mills gets tackled into the cage by Ngo. Ngo maintains the clinch.

Ngo pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Ngo gets a clinch.

Ngo lands a takedown into guard.

Ngo stands up from Mills's guard - Ngo perhaps looking for a knockout.
Ngo connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Mills momentarily.

Mills takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Ngo feints and as Mills raises his hands in defense, Ngo changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Ngo stands up from Mills's guard - Ngo perhaps looking for a knockout.
A head kick misses from Ngo.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Ngo lets loose with a powerful body kick. Mills will feel that in the morning.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kien Ngo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Ngo shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Mills eats them both and turns towards Ngo to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Ngo.
Ngo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mills keeps working.
Ngo fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Mills is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Ngo has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Kien Ngo has got the better of the ground game so far.

Ngo is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Mills has escaped the position, nice work there.
Mills gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!

Mills tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Mills is squirming around, avoiding Ngo's attempts to control the action.
Ngo misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Ngo trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Ngo thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Ngo landing strikes, looking to finish!
Mills wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Ngo.
Ngo can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Mills is looking to escape.
Ngo sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Terrence Mills has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Mills is looking to get to half guard.
Ngo misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Mills is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ngo looking to finish with strikes here!

Ngo has hold of Mills's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Mills manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Ngo trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Mills working to try and regain half guard.

Ngo throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Ngo can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Mills is looking to escape.
Mills squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Mills is desperately trying to improve his position but Ngo has a good base and remains in mount.
Mills avoids a series of strikes thrown by Ngo.

Ngo stands up from mount. Strange move.

Ngo rushes Mills and presses him up against the cage.

Ngo is trying to trip Mills. He has hold of a leg but Mills is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Ngo persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Ngo has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Ngo trying to control but Mills is working from the bottom.
Ngo passes into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ngo works his way into side control.
Mills tries to improve position but can't.

Ngo has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Ngo fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Mills to the ground. Ngo is now in Mills's guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Kien Ngo comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Ngo has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
