Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brian Schroeder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom Glasgow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Glasgow comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Sail by Armin van Buuren kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Tom Glasgow was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Brian Schroeder!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tom Glasgow!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Daniel Blasius and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Glasgow shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Schroeder leaves Glasgow with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Glasgow misses with a double jab.
Good leg kick by Glasgow there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Schroeder moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Schroeder on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Glasgow. Glasgow obviously looking to wear him down.
Schroeder lands with a shot to the body.
Schroeder misses with a body shot.
Schroeder misses with an uppercut. Glasgow saw that one coming.
A telegraphed right hand from Glasgow misses the target.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Glasgow gets the takedown into side control.
Schroeder is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Glasgow is looking to take a break and control but Schroeder is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Glasgow is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Schroeder is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Glasgow is controlling him well.
Schroeder prevents Glasgow from moving into mount.

Glasgow looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Glasgow scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Schroeder to see if he's OK.

Glasgow wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Schroeder, who protects the arm well.
Glasgow misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Glasgow swings around for an armbar but Schroeder sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Glasgow's guard.
Glasgow is controlling Schroeder's posture.

Glasgow working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Schroeder doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Schroeder manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Glasgow is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Schroeder dives into side control.
A bit of a lull in the action here.

Schroeder decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Glasgow defending well as Schroeder loads up on a big left hand.

Glasgow will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Schroeder's corner calls for a 1-2. Schroeder obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Glasgow slips a jab from Schroeder.
A telegraphed right hand from Schroeder misses the target.
Glasgow throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Schroeder swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Glasgow looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Glasgow fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Glasgow works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
The fighters circle momentarily. Glasgow darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Glasgow takes the fight into the clinch.
This has been an exciting period of action!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
A short uppercut from Schroeder.
Glasgow tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tom Glasgow dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Glasgow staying out of range there.
Schroeder swings widly with a right hand
and Glasgow counters with a two punch combo.
No joy there for Glasgow, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Glasgow moves forwards but Schroeder connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Brian Schroeder is winning the standup battle so far.

Glasgow shoots in and bounces Schroeder off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Glasgow trying to control the position from guard on top but Schroeder is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Schroeder wants to stand up but Glasgow is controlling him.
Glasgow wants to control from the top but Schroeder keeps moving.
Glasgow scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

Glasgow throws a big elbow that misses.
Glasgow pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Schroeder is keeping the position for now.
Schroeder is looking to stand up but Glasgow isn't so interested in that idea.

Glasgow postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Schroeder is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Glasgow, into his guard.

Glasgow throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Schroeder escapes and throws Glasgow's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Glasgow wants to get back to his feet but Schroeder drags him back down.
Schroeder tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

Schroeder decides to stand back up.

Glasgow looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Glasgow pushes down on Schroeder's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Glasgow tries to pass the half guard into mount. Schroeder knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Glasgow trying to work for an americana but Schroeder has managed to regain full guard.
Glasgow throwing strikes from guard but Schroeder blocks nicely.

Schroeder is looking to stand up but Glasgow isn't so interested in that idea.
Glasgow pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Schroeder is keeping the position for now.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Glasgow postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Tom Glasgow showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Schroeder's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Glasgow bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Glasgow is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Schroeder knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Glasgow misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Schroeder bucks up and tries to throw Glasgow off but instead Glasgow has got his back!

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Glasgow sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Schroeder taps out!
