PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stan Hansen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Krill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Krill comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Slow Dance With the Devil Bitch kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! On his way into the cage it seems that Stan Hansen has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Stan Hansen seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jay Krill!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Hugh Johnson and Skip Squint.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Krill enables Hansen to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Krill manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Hansen decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Hansen rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Krill moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Hansen closes the distance and clinches up with Krill, looking for a takedown. Hansen pushes Krill against the cage but Krill circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Hansen throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Krill's waist but Krill gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hansen off to one side.

Hansen fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Krill manages to avoid it.
Krill takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Krill swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Hansen misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Hansen fails with a takedown attempt.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Krill changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hansen tries to avoid it but Krill manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hansen to the ground. Hansen escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Krill tries to score a power double leg takedown but Hansen sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Krill somewhat.
Hansen tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Krill was well out of range. Poor timing from Hansen.

Krill throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Hansen tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Krill is in Hansen's guard.

Hansen is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Krill stands up over Hansen, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Oh Hansen is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Krill in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Hansen looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Krill turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!

After winning the bout, Jay Krill thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
