The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

HIMSELF has closed the distance and engaged Nurple in a clinch.
Nurple is working for takedown but HIMSELF is calmly controlling the position for now.
Knees in the clinch landing for HIMSELF.
Nurple tries to break the clinch but HIMSELF is controlling the position.
Nurple fails to pull the fight into his guard.
HIMSELF lands a knee to the body.
Nurple goes for a takedown attempt but HIMSELF pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
GOD HIMSELF has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Purple Nurple.

HIMSELF moves into the clinch.

HIMSELF manages to break the clinch.
Purple Nurple seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
HIMSELF throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Nurple.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Nurple changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. HIMSELF tries to avoid it but Nurple manages to keep hold of a leg and drag HIMSELF to the ground. HIMSELF escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Nurple looks gassed!

Nurple has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. HIMSELF is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

It looks like Purple Nurple has been cut.
