The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Peace bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Peace wants to lay and pray for a moment but Vanaja keeps working.
Peace throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Peace working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Peace wants to control but Vanaja is keeping him busy.
Peace controlling the position from side mount.
Peace lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Vanaja down.
Vanaja takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Vanaja seems a little lost for a moment, as Peace dominates the positioning.
Peace works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Vanaja tries to buck Peace off but Peace is having none of it.

Peace is working Vanaja over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Vanaja had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Peace defends it easily.
Peace stays in close to Vanaja's body and controls the position.
Peace tries to free his leg and advance position but Vanaja is retaining full guard.

Vanaja is trying to control Peace's posture but Peace avoids it.
Peace is looking to take a break and control but Vanaja is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Peace moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Peace wants to control but Vanaja is keeping him busy.
Vanaja is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Peace's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Peace shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Vanaja's guard.

Vanaja working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Peace doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Peace manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Peace scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Restin Peace just wasn't active enough.
Vanaja misses with an uppercut
and Peace counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Vanaja is breathing heavily.

Peace cracks Vanaja with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Vanaja looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Peace finish him?

Vanaja is rocked!
Peace throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Vanaja is still on wobbly legs! Can Peace finish him?

Peace shoots in for a takedown. SLAM! Brutal! Vanaja is out cold and this one is all over!
