A fine choice. Duke Weebalos could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Spike Kimura's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kimura shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Weebalos as he avoids it easily.
Spike Kimura seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Kimura.
Weebalos misses with a jab, cross combination.
Weebalos throws a right hand that Kimura ducks under and follows up with a left that Kimura also avoids with ease.
Kimura shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Weebalos but Weebalos pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Duke Weebalos has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Spike Kimura.

Weebalos has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Weebalos working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Weebalos maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Kimura could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Weebalos has cracked it and Kimura is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Weebalos!
