Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Roberto Rodriguez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dois Pra Um!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Seu Braga and Mauricio Rocha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pra Um keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Rodriguez closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Pra Um tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Rodriguez thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Rodriguez is looking to take a break and control but Pra Um is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Pra Um must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Pra Um wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Rodriguez's closed guard. He's half up but Rodriguez has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Rodriguez pivots and extends the arm, Pra Um falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Rodriguez! Well done that man!

Roberto Rodriguez opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
