Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kalevi Holger Routakirves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Houston Groyler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kalevi Holger Routakirves has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Houston Groyler!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Micheangelo Fripello and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Routakirves rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Groyler counters with a two punch combo.
Some wild striking there from Groyler.
Groyler misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
No joy there for Groyler, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Routakirves lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Routakirves.
Routakirves takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
A combination from Groyler does no damage.
Houston Groyler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Groyler throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Groyler misses with a series of wild punches.
Groyler throws a sloppy head kick and Routakirves moves out of range easily.
Groyler fails to land with a series of punches.
A right-left combo lands from Groyler.
Routakirves throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Groyler was covering up waiting for the punch and Routakirves finishes the takedown easily into guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Routakirves in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Routakirves pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Groyler is keeping the position for now.
Routakirves throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Groyler works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Routakirves lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Routakirves is pushing down on Groyler's leg trying to pass to half guard. Groyler is fighting to maintain full guard but Routakirves has managed to sneak the leg through.

Routakirves is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Groyler doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Routakirves.
Routakirves slips a nice elbow through Groyler's hands, connecting with Groyler's forehead.
Routakirves has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Routakirves keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Routakirves throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Groyler wants to get back to his feet.
Routakirves is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Groyler!
Routakirves looking to finish Groyler with some ground and pound. This is bad for Groyler!
Routakirves lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Groyler hang on?
Routakirves looking for a guillotine from mount but Groyler is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Routakirves throws some wild stikes that Groyler manages to avoid easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Poor strikes thrown by Routakirves there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Routakirves has hold of Groyler's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Groyler manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Routakirves misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Routakirves sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Routakirves won't let Groyler get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Routakirves throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Routakirves thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Routakirves throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Groyler because Routakirves loaded up on that one.
Groyler really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Routakirves. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Groyler is in a horrible position here. Routakirves smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Groyler is still in real trouble! Can Routakirves finish him?
Routakirves has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Groyler's face.
Routakirves connects with a bit shot that sees Groyler covering up! More strikes from Routakirves and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Routakirves is our winner by TKO!
