Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marc KroKop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zdeno Chara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). KroKop's entrance music is This Day We Fight. A fine choice. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
KroKop misses with a looping right.

KroKop feints and then cracks Chara's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Chara down.

and KroKop counters with a head kick. That will keep Chara thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Chara connects with a leg kick. KroKop looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Chara looks to land a combination but KroKop avoids it well.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Chara switches off momentarily and KroKop cracks him with a monster right hand! Chara topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as KroKop dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by KroKop!
