PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tobikan Judan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jean Valjean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valjean connects with a right hand. Judan shakes it off.
Valjean misses with a jab, cross combination.
Judan circles away from the clinch attempt.
Valjean throws a right and a left that both miss.
Judan dodges the punch combination from Valjean.
Some wild striking there from Valjean.
Judan tries to land a front kick but Valjean steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Valjean swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Judan shoots in for a takedown but Valjean shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
A nice combination there by Valjean.

Judan darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Judan is keen to just control but Valjean is a slippery customer.

Judan is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Valjean sees it coming and defends easily.
Judan wants to free his trapped foot but Valjean is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Judan is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Valjean doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Judan.

Judan is working for a kimura but Valjean is defending it quite comfortably.
Valjean really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Judan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Judan is working for a submission of some sort.
Valjean is pressing down on Judan's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Valjean can do anything to dispel that myth.

Valjean is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Judan is controlling him.

Judan is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Judan sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Valjean's guard.
Judan frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Judan throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Valjean has his hands clasped together but Judan breaks the hold and Valjean is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Judan!
