Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Crabby Iron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Project XxX (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). XxX is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Thomas Silversteins Words. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Johanna Lukiainen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from XxX.
XxX walks into a straight right hand from Iron.
XxX looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Iron connects with the punch.
XxX shoots in for a takedown but Iron shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
XxX moves in looking to clinch but Iron pushes him off.
XxX looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Iron is fending him off so far but XxX persists. Nope, Iron circles away and we're back to standing.
A telegraphed right hand from Iron misses the target.
Iron fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but XxX is out of range.
XxX throws a jab when Iron was well out of range.
Iron misses with a body kick.
XxX throws a leg kick that is checked
and Iron counters with a nice low kick that buckles XxX's knee momentarily.
Both fighters circling a little - XxX finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Project XxX seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This has been an exciting period of action!
XxX throws a wild body kick that Iron sees coming a mile off.
XxX ducks under a wild hook from Iron.
Iron misses with an uppercut.
XxX tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Iron manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
XxX misses the body punch
and Iron cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
XxX misses with a kick to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round.
XxX uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Iron.

Iron cracks XxX with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! XxX looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Iron finish him?

XxX is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
XxX throws a nice inside leg kick.
XxX is still on wobbly legs! Can Iron finish him?
XxX misses with a jab to the body
and Iron rattles XxX with a well-timed uppercut counter. - XxX tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Iron dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving XxX stiff and motionless on the mat!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Crabby Iron!
Crabby Iron retains his lightweight title!
After the fight, Crabby Iron was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
