Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Julius Schoonover (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Abel Koponen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Schoonover's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Daylight - Matt and Kim. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Koponen scores with a jab to the head.

It looks like Julius Schoonover has been cut.
Koponen misses with a body shot.
Schoonover throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Schoonover fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Schoonover buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Koponen keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Schoonover tries to clinch but Koponen moves out of range.
Koponen uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Schoonover.
Koponen cracks Schoonover with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Schoonover takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Koponen tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Schoonover was well out of range. Poor timing from Koponen.

so Schoonover counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Koponen is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Schoonover is controlling him.
Schoonover slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Koponen is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Schoonover wants to lay and pray for a moment but Koponen keeps working.
Schoonover is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Koponen is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Koponen wants to control but Schoonover postures up.
