Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rick Mcintosh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Evan Greenwell!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Gwen Towbar and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Greenwell misses with a head kick.
Greenwell closes the distance looking to clinch

and Mcintosh counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Mcintosh working over Greenwell with some ground and pound. Greenwell looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Mcintosh lands a nice short elbow.
Mcintosh landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Mcintosh not doing much here.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Greenwell is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Mcintosh scores with a couple of nice shots.

Mcintosh has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Mcintosh stands up from half guard.
Mcintosh bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Mcintosh shoots in but Greenwell avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Mcintosh lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Mcintosh.

It looks like Evan Greenwell has been cut.
Greenwell tries to clinch there but Mcintosh circles away.

Mcintosh darts in and clinches Greenwell up against the cage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Mcintosh shoots in looking for a takedown. Greenwell tries to sprawl out of it but Mcintosh keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Greenwell manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Greenwell is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Greenwell tries to clinch
and Mcintosh counters with a big head kick but Greenwell shrugs it off.

Mcintosh fakes the leg kick and cracks Greenwell in the body.
Greenwell tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mcintosh sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Greenwell somewhat.

and Mcintosh holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Greenwell swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Mcintosh landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Greenwell stalling in the clinch but Mcintosh improves position.
Mcintosh lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Greenwell backwards.
Greenwell looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Mcintosh gets control of Greenwell's arms and successfully pulls guard. Mcintosh will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Mcintosh tries for a takedown but Greenwell sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Rick Mcintosh is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Greenwell throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mcintosh's waist but Mcintosh gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Greenwell off to one side.

Greenwell dives in and grabs Mcintosh's left leg, looking for a takedown. Mcintosh pushes down on Greenwell's head and hops out.

Greenwell shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Greenwell throws a series of punches but Mcintosh avoids them all with ease.

Mcintosh is trying to drag Greenwell to the mat but Greenwell just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Mcintosh shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Greenwell defends it nicely.
Greenwell is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Mcintosh.
Greenwell tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mcintosh swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Mcintosh will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Greenwell tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Mcintosh swivels and escapes.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Mcintosh breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Nice takedown defense from Mcintosh. No joy for Greenwell on that attempt.

Horrible takedown by Mcintosh or perhaps it was just good defense by Greenwell which made him look bad.

Mcintosh is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Greenwell can do to turn this around?

Greenwell takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Mcintosh fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Greenwell to the ground. Mcintosh is now in Greenwell's guard.
