Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Randjob Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Robbie McStar!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Bruno Hogan and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McStar scores with a nice right hand.

McStar closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - McStar lands in his opponent's guard.
McStar postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
McStar throwing strikes but missing.
Gracie has momentary wrist control but McStar slips an elbow through the middle.

Gracie working for a triangle but McStar defends it easily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
McStar scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
McStar working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.

Gracie is looking for a triangle but McStar pushes his legs off easily.
Gracie preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
McStar wants to control from the top but Gracie keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gracie is trying to control the position but McStar postures up.
McStar loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

McStar distracts Gracie with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

McStar wants to control from the top but Gracie keeps moving.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Gracie has momentary wrist control but McStar slips an elbow through the middle.

McStar got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gracie has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, McStar has managed to get both his arms back between Gracie's legs - danger averted.
McStar postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
McStar trying to control the position from guard on top but Gracie is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

McStar slips nicely into half guard.

Gracie with the active half guard here but McStar passes nicely into side control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Gracie is working to avoid the ground and pound but McStar connects with a decent elbow.
McStar scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Gracie to see if he's OK.
Gracie is looking for a sweep.

The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.

McStar swings around for an armbar but Gracie sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into McStar's guard.

McStar pushes Gracie off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
McStar moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

McStar darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
McStar winds up and cracks Gracie with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
McStar is nestled in close to Gracie, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
McStar landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
McStar throws a strike but Gracie avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
McStar scoring with punches to the head and body.
McStar postures up in Gracie's guard and throws a big left but Gracie blocks it.

Gracie working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. McStar doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. McStar manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Gracie is breathing heavily.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
McStar passes into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Robbie McStar dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Gracie walks straight into a right hand from McStar - that's dropped him! McStar jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Gracie from any more punishment! Gracie complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Robbie McStar!
A very excited looking Robbie McStar made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
