PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Whisky Dan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and weirdo weirdos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dan comes into the arena with "I'm a man" by Black Strobe blaring out of the sound system. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dan rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but weirdos moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
weirdos looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Dan throws a nice head kick!

Dan closes the distance and clinches.
A nice left hand lands by Dan.

Dan escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Dan throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Dan changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
weirdos misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Dan gets a takedown into half guard.
Dan takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

That's one minute gone in the round.
weirdos is in trouble now - Dan has advanced to mount!
weirdos prevents Dan from taking his back.
weirdos takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Dan looking to control and managing it successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dan putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!

Dan looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Dan has control of weirdos's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and weirdos regains control of the situation pretty easily.

weirdos defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Dan.
Dan has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

weirdos has left one of his arms exposed and Dan doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. weirdos screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
