Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Houston Groyler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dean Ambush (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dean Ambush looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Houston Groyler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Dean Ambush!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Chris Saunders and Josh West.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Groyler lands a two punch combo.

Ambush is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Groyler's half guard.
Groyler is refusing to be controlled, as Ambush sits in half guard.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Dean Ambush wasn't active enough on the ground.

Ambush remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Ambush feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Ambush lands a big shot there that rocks Groyler but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Let's hope that Ambush has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Groyler's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Ambush takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Dean Ambush showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
