The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Steve Montenegro and Joseph Jones.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kurtz throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Styles tries to land a leg kick but Kurtz saw it coming and moves away.
Styles swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Kurtz moves out of range of the leg kick from Styles.
Styles tries to score with a low kick but Kurtz moves his leg out of the way.
Some bone on bone action there as Kurtz checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Kurtz misses with a wild body shot.
Nice defenses there by Kurtz.
Kurtz tries to move into range but Styles moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
A jab from Styles does it's job there.

It looks like Walter Kurtz has been cut.
Styles throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Kurtz makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

It looks like Derric Styles has been cut.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kurtz fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Styles manages to avoid it.
Kurtz connects with a nice looking jab.
Kurtz keeps the fight on the outside.
A looping hook to the body misses from Kurtz. Styles does a little dance to reset his feet.
Kurtz slips a jab from Styles.
Styles swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kurtz connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Styles momentarily.
Styles uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kurtz.
Kurtz steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Styles.
Styles throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
The fighters circle momentarily. Styles darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Styles tries to move into range but Kurtz moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Kurtz feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Styles sprawling to the canvas! Styles rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Kurtz finish him?!

Styles is rocked!

That has opened up Derric Styles's cut even more.
Styles misses with a straight left.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Styles tries to clinch but Kurtz moves out of range.
Kurtz bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
That kick from Kurtz tenderised Styles's leg. Styles is trying to keep his angry face on.
Styles throws a hook to the side of Kurtz's head but Kurtz sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Kurtz throws a shot to the body.
Styles looks winded!
Styles takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Kurtz ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Kurtz lands with a big right hook that stumbles Styles - he's out on his feet here! Kurtz follows up with another monster hook that separates Styles from consciousness! Styles falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Kurtz stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.

After winning the bout, Walter Kurtz thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
