PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vlad Fresh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Duke Danger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Duke Danger was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Duke Danger!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Wesley Smith and Tiny Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Danger tries to move into range but Fresh moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Fresh closes the distance and pushes Danger back into the cage.
Fresh lands a nice uppercut.
Fresh softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Danger blocking some punches.

Danger jumps into guard, dragging Fresh to the mat.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Danger has a closed guard, preventing Fresh from standing up.

Fresh decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Danger looks for a takedown but Fresh sprawls well.
Vlad Fresh seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Danger will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Danger clinches up with Fresh and pushes him back against the cage.
A head punch on the inside from Fresh fails to land.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Fresh throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Fresh slowing the pace effectively.
Fresh misses with a hook to the ribs.
Fresh keeps control of Danger as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Danger has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Fresh is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Fresh tries to land a knee to the head but Danger blocks with his arms.
Fresh digs a right hand into Danger's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Danger's gas tank.
Fresh lands a shot to the body.
Danger looks winded!
Fresh lands with a right to the head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A quick uppercut on the inside from Fresh.
Fresh lands a hook to the side of the head.

Danger is rocked!
Fresh misses with a hook from the clinch.
Danger is still on wobbly legs! Can Fresh finish him?
Fresh throws a punch but it's blocked by Danger.
Fresh is working Danger over against the cage.
Fresh throws a punch but it's blocked by Danger.
Fresh avoiding damage.
A head punch on the inside from Fresh fails to land.
Fresh doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Fresh working the clinch nicely. Danger is working for position but Fresh cracks him with a big knee to the head! Danger crumples up against the cage and Fresh lands two more shots before the ref can save Danger! This one is all over!
