Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Michael Walker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jack Rafael!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Bruno Hogan and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rafael shoots in and bounces Walker off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Rafael accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Walker is pulling down on Rafael's head. It's preventing any offense from Rafael, at least for the moment.
Rafael with a flurry of punches that miss.

Rafael stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Walker swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Rafael is trying to trip Walker. He has hold of a leg but Walker is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Rafael persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Rafael throws a push kick but Walker slaps the foot to one side.
Rafael misses with a takedown attempt - Walker sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Rafael throws out a loose jab but Walker uses good head movement to avoid it.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Michael Walker just wasn't active enough.
Rafael is trying hard to land a takedown here. Walker sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Walker tries to close the distance and clinch but Rafael swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Rafael wants to work for an arm triangle but Walker is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Walker knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rafael on the ground.
