The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Ren Mimura and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alabaster looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Demaestri doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Demaestri manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Alabaster on his heels. He'll look to pass Alabaster's guard now, I'm sure.
Demaestri has gone for a leg lock! Alabaster slips out almost immediately though and dives into Demaestri's guard.
Demaestri has his foot on Alabaster's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Alabaster works his way back into a safe position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Demaestri throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Alabaster escapes and throws Demaestri's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Demaestri is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Alabaster really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Demaestri. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Demaestri is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Demaestri working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Alabaster doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Alabaster manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
