The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Summer Carpenter and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Black shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Dellal's guard.
Dellal seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Dellal has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Black can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Black distracts Dellal with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Dellal working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Black doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Dellal is tightening it up a little... Black has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Black reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Black taps out! Nice BJJ there by Dellal!
