The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Romulus misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Sucks counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Romulus gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Romulus lets loose with a powerful body kick. Sucks will feel that in the morning.
Sucks circles away from the clinch attempt.
Romulus shoots in for a double leg but Sucks sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Romulus tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Romulus looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sucks is fending him off so far but Romulus persists. Nope, Sucks circles away and we're back to standing.
Sucks throws a chopping leg kick but Romulus manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

and Sucks counters with a head kick. That will keep Romulus thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Romulus closes the distance and clinches up with Sucks, looking for a takedown. Romulus pushes Sucks against the cage but Sucks circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Romulus stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Sucks.

Julius Romulus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
