PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rig Dig (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricky Magellan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ricky Magellan told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ricky Magellan!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Magellan shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Dig slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Magellan trying to control the position from guard on top but Dig is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Magellan would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Dig keeping moving, preventing Magellan from controlling successfully.

Magellan is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Dig has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Magellan is looking to defend but Dig has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Magellan! Dig pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Magellan taps out and this one is all over!
