Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Eric Eel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Eric Eel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jeff Jones!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Skip Squint and Hugh Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones tries to clinch up but Eel circles away and keeps his distance.

and Eel counters with a single leg into guard. Jones didn't expect that.
Eel stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jones swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Jones working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Eel doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Eel manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Eel looking to sit in guard and control but Jones gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Jones passes into half guard.

Eel trying to hold on to Jones's head to control him but Jones postures up.
Eel is looking to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Eel is defending against the submission attempts here by Jones.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Eel wants to get back to his feet.

Jones is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Eel is just riding it out for now. Jones eventually gives up the hold.

Jones seems to be looking for submissions.

Eel tries to roll over but Jones keeps him under control.

Jones is working for a submission of some sort.
Eel is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Jones seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Eel is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
