Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jaaron Cent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Trotoz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steve Trotoz will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Sosuke Kotani and Shigeki Sano.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trotoz tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cent swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Trotoz shoots in for a takedown but Cent shows good takedown defense.
Cent could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Cent gets a clinch.
Cent looking for a takedown.
Trotoz keeps control of Cent as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Trotoz has hold of one of Cent's legs. Cent is fighting the takedown attempt but Trotoz gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Trotoz postures up in Cent's guard and throws a big left but Cent blocks it.

Cent escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Trotoz gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Cent is breathing heavily.
Trotoz throwing strikes but missing.

Trotoz postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Cent is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Trotoz, into his guard.
Trotoz wants to sweep but no luck.
Cent thows a big elbow that misses.
Trotoz manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Cent manages to get himself to full guard.
Trotoz slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Let's hope that Trotoz has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Trotoz must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Cent can't keep his opponent in guard - Trotoz advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Trotoz is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Cent's shoulder. That is not cool.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Cent manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Trotoz decides to stand and escape the position.
Cent gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Trotoz counters with a big head kick but Cent shrugs it off.

Cent wants to control but Trotoz is keeping him busy.
Trotoz manages to work his way to half guard, despite Cent's best efforts.
Cent is just content to waste time from the top position. Trotoz takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The fight stays on the outside here - Trotoz looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Trotoz bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Cent has had enough of the clinch but Trotoz keeps him there for the moment.

Trotoz is working for takedown but Cent is calmly controlling the position for now.
Cent has Trotoz pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Trotoz manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jaaron Cent. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Cent jumps guard and drags Trotoz to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Cent swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Trotoz is now in Cent's guard. A big mistake from Cent there, giving up the dominant position!

Trotoz stands and steps away. Cent gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Trotoz misses with a two punch combination.
Trotoz tries to clinch but Cent moves out of range.

Cent closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Cent lands in his opponent's guard.
Cent stays in close to Trotoz's body and controls the position.

I would just about give that final round to Steve Trotoz.
I think Trotoz has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
