Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pepper James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rock Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pepper James!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rock Lee!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee wants to clinch up but James keeps it at a distance.
Lee misses with a few strikes there.

and James counters with a nice low kick that buckles Lee's knee momentarily.
Lee throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around James's waist but James gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lee off to one side.
James stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and James wants it to stay on the feet.
Pepper James has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rock Lee.
Lee shoots in but no luck this time.
Lee closes the distance and clinches up with James, looking for a takedown. Lee pushes James against the cage but James circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Rock Lee was stalling too much, according to the referee.

and Lee holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

James knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lee on the ground.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now James is on top in guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Lee manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Lee wants to take his opponent's back but instead James manages to regain half guard.
Lee throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Still in half guard, Lee seems content to control.
Lee is trying to control the action in half guard but James is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Lee is trying hard to land a takedown here. James sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

A frustrated look appears on James's face as he tries to break the clinch.
James can't find room to land a body shot as Lee controls the action.

Lee has picked James up - he's going for a ride! Lee dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
James is not content to let Lee control the position.
Lee is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lee is just content to waste time from the top position. James takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Lee drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Lee seems to have locked his on tight now - James screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Lee, as he picks up the win!
