The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Sonnen manages to avoid it.
Sonnen takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Johnson thuds a left hand into Sonnen's body.
Sonnen walks into a stiff left hand from Johnson.

It looks like Chael Sonnen has been cut.
Johnson throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Sonnen on the side of the head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Johnson shoots for a takedown but Sonnen saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Sonnen shoots in and bounces Johnson off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Sonnen avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Johnson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Sonnen postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Sonnen wants to control from the top but Johnson keeps moving.

Sonnen distracts Johnson with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Johnson drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Sonnen dives on top into guard.

Johnson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Johnson has his feet on Sonnen's thighs here. He's pushed Sonnen off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Sonnen screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
