The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Muay Thai tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Muay Thai tries to clinch up but Karelin circles away and keeps his distance.
Muay Thai throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
The fight stays on the outside here - Muay Thai looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Karelin throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Alexander Karelin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Muay Thai staying out of range there.
Muay Thai tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Karelin swats away the attempt to clinch by Muay Thai.
Muay Thai lands with a slapping head kick.
Karelin tries a low kick but Muay Thai avoids it.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Muay Thai throws a leg kick which misses Karelin's front leg but catches the back leg as Karelin tries to avoid it.
Muay Thai takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

It looks like Spar Muay Thai has been cut.
Karelin connects with a nice cross there... Muay Thai is looking wobbly and Karelin recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Muay Thai to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Karelin jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!
