Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Randy Randall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trent Mauser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Randy Randall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Trent Mauser!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Richard Clark and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mauser fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Randall looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Mauser swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Trent Mauser seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mauser avoids the body shot from Randall.

Mauser shoots in and gets a takedown into Randall's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Randall had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Mauser defends it easily.

Mauser got a little sloppy there for a moment and Randall has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mauser has managed to get both his arms back between Randall's legs - danger averted.
Mauser landing with the ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mauser postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Mauser looking to sit in guard and control but Randall gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Mauser looking to hit a scissor sweep but Randall is one step ahead there.

Mauser working for a triangle but Randall defends it easily.

Randall trying to control the position from guard on top but Mauser is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Mauser is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Randall is trying to maintain the position but Mauser is very close to passing his half guard.

Randall looking for submissions off his back.
Randall won't allow Mauser to pass to mount.
Mauser is nestled in close to Randall, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Mauser looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Mauser seems to be looking for submissions.
Mauser missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Mauser takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Mauser has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Randall is looking for a sweep. Mauser is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Mauser is thwarting Randall's attempts to control the position.
Randall is trying to get back to full guard.
Mauser missing with the ground and pound from half guard.

Randall looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Randall has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Mauser is working away from the top position though.

Mauser stands up out of the half guard.
Randall scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Randall stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Mauser swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Randall counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Mauser punishes Randall's body with a nice straight punch.
Randall is breathing heavily.
Mauser throws a looping overhand right but Randall ducks down to avoid it.
Mauser thows a left - swing and a miss!
Mauser misses with a looping right.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Randall.
Mauser throws a lazy right hand but Randall sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Mauser will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Mauser avoids the body shot from Randall.
A slow jab from Randall misses its intended target.
Mauser misses with an uppercut
and Randall counters with a nice leg kick.
Randall lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Randall looking to score a takedown here. Mauser is defending well but Randall drives through and ends up in Mauser's guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Mauser manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Randall tries to hold on but Mauser pushes him away.
Mauser postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Randall looks a forlorn figure.
Mauser scoring with strikes but Randall is staying in there.
Randall is desperately trying to improve his position but Mauser has a good base and remains in mount.
Mauser in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Mauser lands a heavy elbow.
Randall takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.


Randall is rocked!
Mauser loads up with a big shot that hurts Randall! He's pulled Mauser in close but Mauser has postured up and lands more strikes. Can Randall survive? More strikes from Mauser and Randall is out! The ref jumps in to save him! Brutal ground and pound!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Trent Mauser!
Jumping up and down and very excited, Trent Mauser waved his t-shirt featuring Diamond Nutrition 160q's logo in front of the cameras.
