PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Hideo Kono (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Barbosa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Barbosa has chosen Sub me son as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barbosa takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Barbosa closes the distance and clinches up with Kono, looking for a takedown. Barbosa pushes Kono against the cage but Kono circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Kono lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Barbosa at a distance.
Barbosa closes the distance and clinches up with Kono, looking for a takedown. Barbosa pushes Kono against the cage but Kono circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Kono connects with a body shot that sends Barbosa's belly button to the back.

Kono lands a left and a right that send Barbosa crashing to the mat, dazed. Kono thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Barbosa is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kono cracks Barbosa with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Barbosa falls to his knees and Kono doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Hideo Kono!
After winning the bout, Hideo Kono thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
