Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Stan Reijkard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Laxus Nexus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Laxus Nexus enters the cage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nexus throws a head kick that half lands.

It looks like Stan Reijkard has been cut.
Reijkard swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Reijkard throws a series of punches but Nexus moves out of range.
Nexus throws a one two combo.
Reijkard misses with a left hand

and Nexus counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Nexus is defending well against a takedown attempt.

Nexus is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Reijkard defends it well.

Nexus seems to have recovered his senses.

Reijkard throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Reijkard feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Nexus sprawling to the canvas! Nexus rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Reijkard finish him?!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Reijkard lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Nexus at a distance.
Reijkard throws a big shot that misses.
A nice inside leg kick there by Reijkard. That's going to slow Nexus down.

Reijkard sends Nexus crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Reijkard is motioning to the referee to let Nexus up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Nexus steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Reijkard.
Reijkard misses with a hook.
Reijkard throws a lazy right hand but Nexus sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Nexus is defended easily by Reijkard.
Reijkard misses with a series of wild punches.
Reijkard comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
A looping hook to the body misses from Reijkard. Nexus does a little dance to reset his feet.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Reijkard throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Nexus tries to clinch up.
A slow jab from Reijkard misses its intended target.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Laxus Nexus is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Nexus throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Reijkard tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Nexus is in Reijkard's guard.
Nexus wants to stand but Reijkard has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Reijkard not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Reijkard working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Nexus doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Reijkard is tightening it up a little... Nexus has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Nexus reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Nexus taps out! Nice BJJ there by Reijkard!
