Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Carl Czar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patrick Davids (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Czar's entrance music is Here Comes the Boom-Intimidation. A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Carl Czar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Patrick Davids!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Colin Fotheringham and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davids fakes the leg kick and cracks Czar in the body.
Davids feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Czar's calf.

Davids takes the fight into the clinch.
Czar tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Davids smiles and moves away.
Davids throws a head kick but Czar moves out of range.
Davids feints and then cracks Czar's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Czar down.
Czar is breathing heavily.

Davids closes the distance and pushes Czar back into the cage.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Davids lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!


It looks like Carl Czar has been cut.

Czar has clasped his hands together around Davids's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Davids isn't going anywhere.
Davids is trying to control Czar's posture but Czar avoids it.
Davids wants to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Davids gets back to half guard.

Davids is trying to stand up here but Czar is controlling him well.
Davids is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Czar seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Czar takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Czar is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Davids manages to get to full guard.

Czar drops back, looking for a kneebar! Davids looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Davids looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Davids!
Davids has control of an arm but Czar manages to advance to Davids's back!

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Czar looking for the choke but no joy.
Davids looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands.
Davids tries to escape but Czar has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

Davids manages to get to his feet, escaping the difficult position.
Davids scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
A solid body kick from Davids.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Davids lands a big head kick that sends Czar tumbling to the mat! Davids takes a step backwards and waves Czar back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Czar is rocked!
Czar walks forward, straight into a front kick from Davids.

Davids pushes Czar up against the cage in a clinch.
Davids unloads a knee to the mid-section.
Davids scores a nice knee to the body.
Davids with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
Davids connects with a nasty looking knee right to Czar's face.
Oh Czar is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Davids manages to break the clinch.
Davids lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Czar seems to have got his legs back now.
A solid leg kick lands there for Davids.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Davids chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Davids pushes Czar away with a front kick.
Czar has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Davids.
Davids turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Czar takes a head kick and keeps coming.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Davids lands with a thumping leg kick.
Good leg kick by Davids there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Davids delivers a nice body kick.

Davids closes the distance and pushes Czar back into the cage.
Czar misses with a short punch on the inside.
Davids lands a knee to the head.

Davids breaks from the clinch.
Davids feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Czar's calf.
Davids with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Davids is looking to slow Czar down with leg kicks.
Davids turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Davids lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Czar chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Davids can pounce on him.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Davids throws a quick inside leg kick.
Davids lands a nice leg kick that just misses Czar's sensitive parts.
Davids lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Patrick Davids dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Carl Czar's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Davids throws a head kick that Czar semi-blocks.
Czar avoids the head kick by Davids.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Davids.
Davids tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Czar lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Davids circles away quickly and effectively.
Czar is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Davids connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Davids scores with a kick to the midsection.
Davids scores with a spinning back kick!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Davids feints and then cracks Czar's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Czar down.
Davids connects with an inside leg kick.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Davids connects with a high kick.
A nice inside leg kick there by Davids. That's going to slow Czar down.
Davids throws a head kick that half lands.
Davids lands a big head kick that sends Czar to the canvas! Davids follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Patrick Davids!
A pretty intense looking Patrick Davids took the opportunity post-fight to ask for a shot at the title.
