PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between DoDo Bird (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wade Dew (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bird comes to the cage accompanied by Hungry by Rob Bailey and the Hustle Standard. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Wade Dew was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dew throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Bird connects with an inside leg kick.
Bird scores with a spinning back kick!
Bird misses with a head kick.
A thudding body kick lands there by Bird!
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Dew crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Bird - the referee stops the clock and Dew gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Bird. Dew manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Bird throws a head kick that misses.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Bird.

Bird smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Dew on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Bird will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Dew throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Bird sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Dew has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Bird.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Dew might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Bird has got the better of the exchanges.
