The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Banan lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Nurminen at a distance.

Banan changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Nurminen tries to avoid it but Banan manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Nurminen to the ground. Nurminen escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Nurminen does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Banan takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Banan feints and as Nurminen raises his hands in defense, Banan changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Banan got a little sloppy there for a moment and Nurminen has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Banan has managed to get both his arms back between Nurminen's legs - danger averted.

Banan wants to control from the top but Nurminen keeps moving.
Banan might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Nurminen kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Banan sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Nurminen's guard.
