Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nicolas De Ertu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyroil Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tyroil Wallace has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nicolas De Ertu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tyroil Wallace!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Daniel Franklin and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wallace closes the distance and clinches.

De Ertu turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Wallace is trying to buck De Ertu off.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
De Ertu working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Wallace pushes De Ertu away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, De Ertu gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Wallace is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but De Ertu has just dragged him back down to the mat.
De Ertu moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.

De Ertu decides to stand back up.

De Ertu rushes Wallace and presses him up against the cage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
De Ertu manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Wallace wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but De Ertu has him pressed against the cage.

Wallace wants to break free but De Ertu has control.
Wallace working hard to break the clinch.
Wallace drops down looking for an ankle pick but De Ertu pulls his leg out and moves away.

De Ertu is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Wallace's half guard.

De Ertu gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
De Ertu dives in and grabs Wallace's left leg, looking for a takedown. Wallace pushes down on De Ertu's head and hops out.
Wallace throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Tyroil Wallace seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Wallace instigates a clinch.
Wallace is looking for a takedown.
Wallace is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Nicolas De Ertu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tyroil Wallace.

De Ertu drags the fight down to the ground.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
De Ertu is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Wallace won't allow De Ertu to get back to his feet.

Wallace got a little sloppy there for a moment and De Ertu has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Wallace has managed to get both his arms back between De Ertu's legs - danger averted.
De Ertu lands an upkick as Wallace stands over him.
De Ertu wants to stand but Wallace is controlling the position.

De Ertu looking for a sweep. Not yet De Ertu, not yet.
De Ertu wants to get back to his feet but Wallace is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
De Ertu wants to sweep but no luck.
De Ertu throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Wallace with a flurry of punches that miss.
De Ertu can't keep his opponent in guard - Wallace advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Wallace looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

De Ertu is refusing to be controlled, as Wallace sits in half guard.
De Ertu throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

De Ertu kicks Wallace off and gets back to his feet.
De Ertu looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Wallace is fending him off so far but De Ertu persists. Nope, Wallace circles away and we're back to standing.
De Ertu will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

De Ertu instigates a clinch.

De Ertu gets control of Wallace's arms and successfully pulls guard. De Ertu will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

De Ertu fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Wallace to the ground. De Ertu is now in Wallace's guard.
Wallace wants to stand but De Ertu is controlling the position.
De Ertu with a flurry of punches that miss.
De Ertu stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wallace swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Wallace wants to stand and escape but De Ertu is having none of it.
De Ertu engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
De Ertu advances to half guard.

Wallace makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
De Ertu shoots in and drives through. Wallace sprawls well.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A chopping leg kick lands by Wallace.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from De Ertu.
Wallace throws a jab but it's blocked by De Ertu.
Wallace tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Nicolas De Ertu is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
De Ertu blocks a low kick nicely.
De Ertu shoots for a takedown but Wallace saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nicolas De Ertu. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Wallace pushes De Ertu up against the cage in a clinch.
Wallace is trying to break the clinch but De Ertu is controlling him.
De Ertu on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
De Ertu drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
De Ertu is pressed up against the cage. Wallace has hold of a leg and is looking to drag De Ertu down to the mat. De Ertu avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Nice takedown defense from Wallace. No joy for De Ertu on that attempt.

De Ertu shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
De Ertu prevents Wallace from standing back up.
Wallace is breathing heavily.
Wallace is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
It looks like De Ertu is going to stand back up.
Wallace pushes De Ertu off looking to stand but De Ertu dives back in and keeps control.
Nicolas De Ertu overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
De Ertu not doing much here.
De Ertu's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Nicolas De Ertu.
Wallace stuffs the takedown attempt from De Ertu. De Ertu gets slowly back to his feet.

De Ertu rushes Wallace and presses him up against the cage.
Wallace is trying to drag De Ertu to the mat but De Ertu just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

De Ertu is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Wallace pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Wallace pushes off an throws an elbow but De Ertu leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Wallace tries to break the clinch but De Ertu is controlling the position.
Wallace has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by De Ertu after a bit of a struggle.

De Ertu pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Wallace misses with a low kick.

De Ertu gets a double leg takedown into Wallace's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
De Ertu is stalling in the full guard.
De Ertu wants to get up but he can't break Wallace's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
De Ertu prevents Wallace from getting back to his feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
De Ertu would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

De Ertu stands and steps away. Wallace gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

De Ertu is trying to trip Wallace. He has hold of a leg but Wallace is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. De Ertu persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
De Ertu is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

De Ertu looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Wallace is looking to stand up but De Ertu isn't so interested in that idea.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Wallace is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Nicolas De Ertu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tyroil Wallace.

Wallace is fighting off a takedown attempt but De Ertu is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Wallace to the mat. Wallace regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

De Ertu keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
De Ertu has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Nicolas De Ertu just wasn't active enough.
Wallace fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Nicolas De Ertu is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Wallace moves into range and clinches up with De Ertu.
Wallace goes for a takedown attempt but De Ertu pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
De Ertu prevents Wallace from getting back to his feet.
Tyroil Wallace has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Nicolas De Ertu showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for De Ertu, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A less than humble Nicolas De Ertu misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
