The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Iverson looks to land a right hand but Zawistowski moved out of range.

Zawistowski goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Iverson tries to bum rush Zawistowski with a series of wild strikes but Zawistowski uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Iverson looks to land a combination but Zawistowski avoids it well.

The fighters circling - Zawistowski throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Zawistowski takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Zawistowski creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Iverson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Zawistowski walks away with a smile on his face. Iverson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joe Iverson. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Iverson avoids a punch combination nicely.
A solid leg kick lands there for Zawistowski.

Zawistowski bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Iverson connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Zawistowski's hands.
Iverson throws a hook but Zawistowski avoids it easily.

Zawistowski fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Iverson thows a body shot but no joy.
Iverson takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Zawistowski moves out of range of the strikes.
Zawistowski tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Iverson thows a left - swing and a miss!
Iverson uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Zawistowski.
Iverson misses with a jab, cross combination.

Zawistowski darts in and clinches Iverson up against the cage.
Iverson jumps guard but Zawistowski stands there with Iverson around his waist. Iverson gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Zawistowski misses with a punch on the inside.
Iverson is trying to pull guard but Zawistowski has him pressed against the cage.
Iverson tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Iverson has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Zawistowski uses from the top position.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Zawistowski is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Iverson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Zawistowski doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Zawistowski manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Zawistowski controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Iverson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Zawistowski can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Iverson pushes a forearm under Zawistowski's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Zawistowski is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
