Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rubin Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Werkka Easterlund (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carter comes to the cage accompanied by Hurricane. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carter throws a hook but Easterlund blocks it.
Carter bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Jab by Carter.
Easterlund missing with a left hand there. Carter was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Carter scores with a hook.
A shot to the body from Carter misses
and Easterlund counters with a straight right hand.
Easterlund throws a jab when Carter was well out of range.
Easterlund looks to land a combination but Carter avoids it well.
Easterlund lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Werkka Easterlund seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Easterlund ducks under a wild hook from Carter.
A left lands for Easterlund.
Easterlund throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Carter sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Easterlund lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Carter circles away quickly and effectively.
Easterlund misses with a two punch combination.
Easterlund stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Carter.
Easterlund takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Carter cracks Easterlund with a good jab.
Easterlund lands a glancing blow to the side of Carter's head.
Easterlund takes a swing at Carter's ribcage but misses.
Easterlund with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Carter to score with a decent uppercut.

Carter swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Carter avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
A punch lands to the side of Easterlund 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Carter misses the shot to the body.
Carter takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Carter throws a series of punches but Easterlund avoids them all with ease.
Easterlund tries to close the distance and clinch but Carter swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Easterlund fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Carter, pushing him back against the cage.
Easterlund lands a hook to the side of the head.
A right hook to the body lands for Carter.
Carter blocking some punches.
Easterlund lands an uppercut.
Carter misses with a short punch on the inside.
Easterlund is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
A head punch on the inside from Carter fails to land.

Carter breaks the clinch.
Easterlund moves forwards but Carter connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Carter takes one to the chin there.
Easterlund tries to clinch up but Carter circles away and keeps his distance.
Easterlund throws a hook but Carter avoids it easily.
Easterlund feints with a jab and clips Carter right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Carter is sent crashing into the canvas and Easterlund leaps in for the kill! Carter tries to get to his feet but Easterlund is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Carter is in need of a savior and steps in!
