PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Reginald Hawk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stefan Danski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hawk comes to the cage accompanied by flame to the moth. The key to victory for Reginald Hawk has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Reginald Hawk!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Stefan Danski!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Igor Prikhodko and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Danski clinches up with Hawk and pushes him back against the cage.
Danski tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Hawk just stands there and leans against the cage.
Hawk gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Danski.
Hawk lands a left hand.
Danski tries to pull guard but Hawk holds him up against the cage and eventually Danski drops back down to his feet.
Reginald Hawk has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Stefan Danski.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Danski has picked Hawk up - he's going for a ride! Danski dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Hawk is refusing to be controlled, as Danski sits in half guard.
Hawk gets full guard.
Danski stopping the sweep attempt from Hawk.
Danski is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hawk bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Danski's guard.
Hawk postures up.
Hawk working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Hawk prevents Danski from getting back to his feet.
Danski pulls Hawk in to control the position.
Danski keeping moving, preventing Hawk from controlling successfully.
Danski pulls Hawk in to control the position.

Stefan Danski has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Hawk has Danski up against the cage in a clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hawk wants to get back to striking at distance but Danski won't allow it.
Danski keeps control of Hawk as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Danski tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Hawk breaks from the clinch.
Danski on the wrong end of a nice jab.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Danski tries to keep at a distance but Hawk has taken the fight into the clinch.
Danski jumps guard but Hawk stands there with Danski around his waist. Danski gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Hawk stalling.
A frustrated look appears on Hawk's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Danski is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Hawk manages to break the clinch.
Hawk swings for the body but Danski moves out of range.

Danski bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Danski looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Hawk sneaks back into half guard.
Hawk tries to roll over but Danski keeps him under control.
Hawk makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Hawk.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Hawk has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Hawk is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Hawk sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Danski defending well though.
Hawk wants to take a breather but Danski is having none of it.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Danski wants to improve his position but Hawk is controlling well.
Hawk throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Reginald Hawk dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Hawk moves away from the strike by Danski.
Hawk tries to clinch but Danski is having none of it.
Danski tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Hawk manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Hawk lands a two punch combo.


It looks like Stefan Danski has been cut.
Danski defending well as Hawk loads up on a big left hand.

Oooooh!!! Hawk has knocked Danski down with a huge combo! Hawk steps away and waves a wobbly Danski back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!


Danski is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hawk lands a nice looking kick to the body. Danski takes a step back to recover.
Danski is still on wobbly legs! Can Hawk finish him?
Hawk steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Danski is out on his feet! Hawk sets himself and nearly takes Danski's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:35 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Reginald Hawk!
Reginald Hawk spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
