Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Marcin Helderski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Duke Powers!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Viktor Lagutenko and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Powers closes the distance and lands a one-two.
It looks like Marcin Helderski has been cut.
Powers rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Helderski moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Helderski fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Powers's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Powers duly obliges.
Helderski fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Powers has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Powers on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Helderski. Helderski obviously looking to wear him down.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A momentary lapse in concentration from Powers enables Helderski to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Powers manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Helderski accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Helderski stands up over Powers, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Helderski looking to sit in guard and control but Powers gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Powers has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Helderski to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Powers is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Helderski pulls down on the head and he's put Powers to sleep! This one is all over!
