Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ubin Yakinoff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Zerra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yakinoff kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Jump Around. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ubin Yakinoff !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Matt Zerra!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Chad Campbell and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zerra throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Yakinoff fails with a takedown attempt.
Yakinoff tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Zerra swivels and escapes.

Yakinoff shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Zerra tries to roll over but Yakinoff keeps him under control.
Yakinoff blocks the strikes from Zerra.
Ground and pound from Yakinoff .

Zerra wants to get back to full guard but Yakinoff has passed into side control.
Zerra is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Yakinoff keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Yakinoff looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Zerra with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Yakinoff moves nicely into side control.
Yakinoff wants to lay and pray for a moment but Zerra keeps working.
Yakinoff lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.

Zerra is trying to control Yakinoff 's posture but Yakinoff avoids it.
Yakinoff in side control lands a decent elbow.
Yakinoff blocks the strikes from Zerra.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Yakinoff creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Yakinoff scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Zerra to see if he's OK.
Yakinoff lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Zerra down.
Zerra takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Yakinoff in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Zerra manages to work his way to half guard, despite Yakinoff 's best efforts.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Yakinoff works his way into side control.
Zerra tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Zerra struggling a bit here.
Yakinoff will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Zerra on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Yakinoff happy to just control the position for now.
Yakinoff is working Zerra over with some ground and pound from side control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Yakinoff looks up at the clock and then as Zerra takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Yakinoff smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Zerra is still in real trouble! Can Yakinoff finish him?
Yakinoff cracks Zerra with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Yakinoff immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Zerra is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Yakinoff !

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ubin Yakinoff !
Ubin Yakinoff seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
